FAQs or adventures in ordering BJDs

When I order dolls from the various Korean/Chinese companies, the best I can do is estimate a shipping time. Normally once an order is received and paid for, it will take 6 to 8 weeks for them to ship to us. It has taken up to 6 months but that is out of the norm. Sometimes I get a surprise and they arrive in 3-4 weeks. They do not give us updates. Most of the BJD companies are very small and BJDs are mostly made by hand. Many times the weather dictates how fast they can produce. Sometimes when I write to ask about a shipment they respond right away, sometimes it takes days and even then they can’t tell us anything. I have learned to be patient but know it is hard for you the customer. The companies I now carry are the best I have worked with. I have carried others but do to their lack of response, slow shipping or poor product I no longer carry them.

Normally I am notified when the dolls ship (sometimes not)
When the dolls arrive I ship within 24 hours of receiving final payment.
I order your doll when you order it from me with at least a deposit received. I do not wait until you have your doll paid in full to place the order with the manufacturer.

When you order a doll, I will contact you and give you an estimate as to time. I will also send updates if I get them.

I will let you know when shipped and send a track#.

When an order is placed, I have to order the minimum quantity required, not just one doll at a time. They are all shipped at the same time so if ordered without face-up, they take just as long as with face-up. In some cases I can place an order for everything with no face-up and get the dolls a bit sooner but they still have to be made, they are never in stock ready to ship.

I try to keep the web site updated with dolls in stock noted, dolls on order with arrival dates and dolls that must be pre-ordered. It is impossible to have everything in stock, it is just not the nature of the BJD companies. I always have orders in progress and new dolls coming in. Sometimes they go fast once they arrive so e-mail me for the status of any doll listed as not in stock..

I can get custom face-ups and special requests. If you see it on the company site, I can probably get it for you. The exception to this is Soom-I can not get the Monthly dolls or the 4-5 day dolls. They will only let me carry the standard lines.
